Detailed itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Guatemala!
You'll be greeted at the airport and taken to our hotel in the Cultural District of Guatemala City, where we'll start this shared adventure.
Day 2 - My roots
We’ll visit the farm where I grew up on the outskirts of the city. We will enjoy a homemade lunch, a perfect opportunity to get to know each other in a relaxed setting.
Day 3 - To the Lowlands of Petén
We'll fly from Guatemala City to Flores and spend the rest of the day in this charming town.
Day 4 - Yaxhá
After a leisurely morning in Flores, we'll take a sunset tour of Yaxhá and then head to Tikal, where we'll stay the following nights.
Day 5 - Tikal at dawn
Experience the awakening of the jungle in Tikal with a tour at dawn. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure amidst the ancient ruins and lush jungle.
Day 6 - Candelaria Caves
En route to Cobán, we'll stop at the Candelaria Caves for an exhilarating tubing adventure in the underground rivers of this mystical place.
Day 7 - A traditional mayan village
Off the beaten path, we’ll visit the traditional Maya-Poqomchi village of San Cristóbal Verapaz, a community dedicated to preserving its historical memory.
Day 8 - Semuc Champey
Today we head to Semuc Champey for a day of adventure, swimming in the turquoise waters of its stunning natural pools.
Day 9 - Chichi's Market
We will make an early start to visit Chichicastenango on our way to Lake Atitlán. There, we will explore its vibrant market, colorful cemetery, and witness the syncretism between Mayan traditions and the Catholic religion.
Day 10 - Village hopping tour
For the best views of Lake Atitlán, we’ll take a boat tour around the lake, visiting three picturesque villages to learn more about the culture and traditions of this area.
Day 11 - Maia Impact School
We’ll visit Central America’s first secondary school designed for Indigenous young women from rural communities in Sololá, connecting them with 21st-century opportunities.
Day 12 - Iximché
On our way to Antigua, we'll stop in Tecpán to visit Iximché, the first capital of Guatemala and an important historical site.
Day 13 - Exploring Antigua
Stroll through the picturesque streets of Antigua and enjoy the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the charm of this colonial city.
Day 14 - Market tour and Cooking class
Visit Antigua's market before heading to Jocotenango for a hands-on experience in preparing a traditional Guatemalan meal, which we'll enjoy together.
Day 15 - Hiking the Acatenango Volcano
Embark on the challenging hike of Acatenango Volcano. As a group of adventurous women, we'll support and cheer each other on, with the breathtaking view of Fuego Volcano awaiting us at the summit.
Day 16 - Return to Guatemala City
After descending Acatenango, we'll head back to Guatemala City to relax in the chill atmosphere of the Cultural District.
Day 17 - Torojil city tour with Melissa Larín
Meet Melissa Larín, a local "chapina," who will take us on a tour of Guatemala City. She'll share personal stories and her unique perspective of living in this vibrant city. We'll round off the day with a farewell dinner, celebrating our unforgettable journey together.
Day 18 - ¡Hasta pronto!
Bid farewell to Guatemala and your fellow travelers, taking with you a treasure trove of memories and new friendships.
