Travel to Guatemala

You’ll arrive in Guatemala City, where you’ll spend the first night and get a glimpse of Central America’s biggest and most cosmopolitan city.

In Río Dulce, Izabal, you’ll visit Livingston by boat. There you’ll witness the unusual mix of Garífuna, Afro-Caribbean, Maya, and Ladino people and cultures. The lush tropical forest as well as the deep limestone canyon walls in the river are unforgettable sights of this trip.

Once in the heart of the Mayan world, you’ll explore Tikal in the middle of the jungle. Lake Petén Itzá and the colorful island of Flores are also part of the journey.

On your way to the natural paradise of Las Verapaces, you’ll visit Cráter Azul (blue crater), a beautiful underwater garden and one of many of Guatemala’s hidden gems.

Finca Sacmoc and Semuc Champey in Alta Verapaz are going to surprise you with their greenery and strong Mayan Q’eqchi identity.

Lake Atitlán, in the highlands, is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Besides the spectacular views, you’ll enjoy the lake by boat and visit three different villages on the shore, full of character and living Mayan traditions.

On your way to Antigua Guatemala, you’ll visit the ruins of Iximché, the first capital of Guatemala. An ATV tour visiting the villages around Antigua and climbing the Acatenango volcano with overnight glamping in front of the Fuego volcano are once-in-a-lifetime experiences that you won’t forget.

No family vacation is complete without a couple of days at the black-sanded volcanic beaches of the Guatemalan Pacific Coast. There you just need to sit back, relax and enjoy.

Back in Guatemala City, you’ll discover a vibrant, trendy, and, without a doubt, worth-visiting city. Now your trip to Guatemala is whole.
