Positive Impact Tourism

Responsible Travel Experiences

Partnering for ethical, community-based tourism in Guatemala

At Let’s go to Guatemala, we believe travel can be a powerful tool for positive change. That’s why we’ve partnered with Positive Impact Tourism (PIT), a Netherlands-based platform that connects conscious travelers with authentic, responsible experiences around the world. Together, we’re ensuring that tourism in Guatemala benefits local families and communities directly, fairly, and respectfully.

Who is Positive Impact Tourism?

Positive Impact Tourism (PIT) promotes meaningful, community-led travel experiences that create real, lasting benefits for local people.

Their mission is to connect travelers with initiatives based on transparency, fair compensation, and mutual cultural respect. By working closely with local entrepreneurs, families, and social organizations, PIT helps ensure that tourism supports, not disrupts, local ways of life.

Our collaboration: a tour with purpose

In collaboration with PIT, we co-designed the Antigua Village Community Tour Experience: a half-day immersion that gives travelers the opportunity to visit a small village just outside Antigua and connect directly with local families.

From making tortillas by hand to learning about the daily lives of the people who live there, this experience is all about genuine connection, dignity, and cultural exchange.

Why this matters

Our partnership with PIT allows us to:

  • Support local communities directly and transparently.
  • Ensure fair wages and community-led decision-making.
  • Promote ethical. educational and empowering tourism.

We’re proud to stand alongside PIT in our shared mission: creating travel experiences that truly make a positive impact.
